My Background
I love photography. It started when my dad introduced me to his Topcon 35-S rangefinder camera back in the early-70s. By late 70s, I got my first single lens reflex (SLR) camera: Canon AE-1. I loved it and it was my go to camera for the next 20 years until APS and digital cameras came into play. I still enjoy using manual film cameras for the touch and feel and the love of texture in film which you cannot find in digital photography.
Trained as an architect, practiced as one and moved onto project management and then the corporate world. The study and practice of architecture has opened many doors and taught me how to appreciate a wider range of arts and different design elements. With the support of my family, I left the corporate world to fulfil my dream of becoming a vacation photographer and freelance graphic designer: it is my goal to harness my skills and visions to serve others in capturing treasured moments through a different lens and to offer a different approach towards graphic design.
Photography as Communication
An old saying: a picture tells a thousand words; I believe photograph can transcend ideas, knowledge, feelings, and emotions but more importantly, it would be the many interpretations and imaginations of the viewers that bring the photograph to life.
